Caring Bear Cabin - games, pets, wheelchair-friendly

We enjoyed a week's restful stat in this wonderful home conveniently situated in South Lake Tahoe. The neighborhood was quiet and the location perfect for us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and everything worked - tv, wi-fi, washer & dryer, heater and all the appliances.

This was one of the best rental properties we have ever rented at Tahoe. It is exactly as photos show. The furniture & decor are all first class. It is quite obvious that a lot of thought & money went into decorating this home. The kitchen is well supplied. Location is excellent. Very nice quiet neighborhood. We would definitely rent this property again & again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Nice layout and very clean. The weather was warm when we visited so the house was warm when we arrived. The fans helped cool off the rooms that we stayed in and leaving the windows open at night cooled off the house well. We did not use the upstairs rooms because it was very warm up there. It was in a good, quiet location for all of our activities.

We stayed a few days before 4th of July. Myself, Husband, and two teen Boys. We also had our friends and their 9 year old Son for a few days with us. The beds and linens were very comfortable. Lots of extras that we didnt need to use but were there. I've rented many homes and luxury rentals and I have to say this home was very well stocked in the kitchen. It allowed us to cook many meals. We spent most of the day on different parts of the lake before returning in the evening to have dinner together. Overall, we were pleased and the distance to all the shops was a plus.

This A frame cabin is just the kind of cabin you would expect in the Tahoe area. Very clean and all the amenities you would want. Quiet area with very friendly neighbors. Within 40 minutes of everything we needed. Our basketball tournaments were all over the greater Tahoe area (including Nevada and we got to each event in no time. Will definately be going back

We loved staying at this cabin. Very clean and comfortable. I wish we would have booked for more nights. We will definitely be staying here again next time we come to Tahoe. One of the best vacation homes we have stayed at.

Springbreak Trip - 15-18 min from HEAVENLY CA LODGE PARKING LOT, 45 MIN to KIRKWOOD, 75 min to NORTHSTAR.

It was good place.

WE loved our stay at Caring Bear Cabin. WE used it as a base to ski. It is very convenient to both Heavenly and Kirkwood ski resorts. The house was well equipped and the kitchen was stocked much better than usual with cooking amenities.

My kids love the fuseball and games. We built a sled run in the font yard as there was so much snow and enjoyed a day of sledding at the house.

The beds were very comfortable and the place easily accommodated 4 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of seating at the table and in the living room, which is not always the case in a rental.

RNR was very responsive to any questions we had. I plan to stay here again next winter

we really enjoyed our stay in this cozy, clean house. it was exactly like the photos and suited our party of 6 very well. the hosts were great communicators and answered all my questions promptly. would recommend!

We came in late October to catch the last of the Desolation Wilderness hiking season and this is a great location for that as well as South Tahoe amenities. Very well equipped, fun amenities, quiet, helpful when we needed help.

This cabin was so cozy and so cute. Everyone loved it. They had a lot of entertainment for us. I would highly recommend booking with them again and I will be coming back soon.

Really convenient and well organized host, they were communicative and responsive to questions. The process of renting and staying was easy and clear. Would definitely rent from R&R again!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this home. The home was very clean upon arrival and well stocked with everything we needed. We liked the location and it is just a short drive (less than 10 minutes) to the lake and other activities. We would stay here again for sure. Couple things to note. There is no outside storage/garage. We brought along with us 6 bikes and 2 large paddle boards which we had to move into the house every night. That was pretty inconvenient but we made the best of it. Also we were vacationing in August so the house was quite hot during the day. The upstairs bedroom in the A-Frame is very hot. It did cool down nicely at night for sleeping so we weren't really bothered by the heat. The house was equipped with lots of fans and swamp coolers which was very thoughtful and helpful. Overall this is a good place to stay for a couple of families.

Very convenient location as starting point for hiking in South Lake Tahoe, close to shopping . House very comfortable and wheelchair accessible!

In town for the celebrity Golf Tournament, and the Caring Bear Cabin provided us with a large enough place for our multiple family reunion.

This is the second time we've been to Caring Bear Cabin in the winter. It's a great location for skiing at either Sierra or Heavenly. It's close to South Lake Tahoe. We had 3 generations staying and everyone loved it, from the teenagers who enjoyed the bunk beds to the grandparents who had the privacy upstairs. Everything was easy from booking, to arriving to leaving. We will definitely be back!

This was the perfect home for our 2 families of 4. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of games and fun for the kids. The only downside was we were unable to use the fireplace during our winter stay, our families are used to wood burning stoves for heat source so the central heating messed with allergies, but overall a perfect stay!
