Golden Bear Pause- Hot tub, pets, big yard, hiker's paradise

This place was PERFECT for a week vacation. It was as advertised and was perfect for 2 couples with 2 small pups. They loved the vacation as well. Rules were easy to understand and follow and the place was comfortable and relaxing (JUST what we all needed). Will recommend this place and will come back in the future!!!

Beautiful place to get away for the weekend - our family had a wonderful time exploring the South Lake Tahoe area. The house was comfortable and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed.

This was a perfect location. Lot's of hiking trails within a 5 minute walk. The Airbnb property was very clean and had plenty of extra towels, blankets and sheets. Nice hot tub and yard for the pooch was safe.

Very comfortable and cozy place to stay. Everything is in good working order, good condition, and the house is well stocked. It's clear from the onset that your experience with RnR will be better than booking a short term stay on a mega short term rental App. They have great communication and are flexible where possible. This house was perfect for 4 adults + a dog and could have held a couple more comfortably. We'll be back!

Thanks for a great stay! The house was comfortable and had everything that we needed. Beds/pillows were very comfy and the hot tub at the end of the day was delightful. The gas fireplace in the master kept the room cozy. Nice quiet neighborhood. Mgmt team was helpful with a lot of communication. Would recommend rental car for this location as the Ubers are outrageous! $50-60 each way to go to South Lake Tahoe/Heavenly even though the drive was under 10 minutes. Other than that we have no complaints!

The cabin is in a great location for skiing at Heavenly and close to the lake for dining out and shopping. There is a large backyard, hot tub, and fairly stocked kitchen. The cabin was very clean when we arrived, but since this is a pet friendly cabin there is a little pet hair around even though we do not have pets. Overall a very clean and convenient cabin, and we would stay again in the future.

We were extremely thankful for this property management company for booking & communicating with us about this rental (as our previous rental from Grand Welcome cancelled mere hours before our scheduled check in) Communication and documents were prompt and professional. The contract may scare away some but given its in a quiet neighborhood, necessary to avoid the party crowd. The space was perfect for our group with access to the backyard for our 2 dogs and bedrooms at ground level for our elderly parents. Bed & Bathrooms were squeaky clean. The kitchen had all essential cookware but you will need to bring extra tools (we forgot a coffee grinder & peeler for example but we made it work) The house is in a quiet neighborhood off of Pioneer Trail & easy to get to restaurants and activities in S. Lake Tahoe. There is also a great trail a block away to take a morning walk. We will definitely be staying again & highly recommend RnR Rentals!

It is well-situated, well-equipped and clean. Some minor items could use some upgrading, but overall, it's very nice. We were pleased with the quick response from the management company when we had a question. We would stay here again.

The house was immaculate and welcoming. The house was located very close to many beautiful forest trails which we visited twice a day. We found that every amenity was available from ceiling fans to complete kitchen and hot tub! The property manager checked in a few times and was very helpful. All in all a great place to call home. Very easy check in and check out too!

This is our favorite home to rent. We rent it twice a year. Starting to need some new carpet though. Just downstairs in the living room and hallway. The rest is fine. Great location. Near the forest with bike/dog trails.

We rented this lovely house for a ski weekend with our son and daughter in law. It was just perfect! So cozy with the fireplace in the living room. Close to the Californua lodge at Heavenly and a short drive to the Heavenly Village and the night life of South Lake Tahoe. The hot tub was amazing after a day of skiing --so much snow we had to dig it out but worth it. Would definitely stay here again

The home was spacious, well stocked and very clean. The owners were very responsive and a delight to deal with. We would definitely go back!

We had a great time, loved the location and the amenities the house provided. We definitely will be coming back possibly for a summer vacation.

Our party of two couples, a toddler, and a dog all enjoyed our stay, and we would come again. Because of the extreme amount of snow and ice on the roof from all the big storms this year, there was a wet spot in the carpet near the wall in the kitchen, but the management company was very responsive and sent a maintenance person out to check. The fenced in backyard was great for easy sledding with our three year old, and our dog had a blast as well (there’s also a bigger neighborhood sledding hill behind the nearby fire station that we love). The furniture and beds were clean and comfortable, but it would be great if the owners could add another bedside table to the downstairs bedroom. We do like to cook, and I would say main thing keeping the house from being perfect is the quantity, quality, and condition of the pots and pans - most are beat up, with loose handles and lids that don’t fit. On the plus side, there is an instant pot and crockpot, as well as plenty of dishware, a coffeemaker, etc.

We booked this place on the snowiest weekend of 23 Tahoe. The indoor gas fireplaces were so cozy as the snow fell. Plenty of room for the family to spread out and we loved having the hot tub. Would most definitely stay here again!

good place to stay. pro: sparkling clean, very well equipped kitchen. all you need. new appliances nice garage really helpful during winter times. large fenced backyard new patio and good hot tub. cons: we felt a bit unwelcome especially with dogs. tons of rules rules rules .silent neighborhood which made us felt uncomfortable just living there because breathing could violate something. we had two dogs and be aware they are not allowed even within the bedrooms should only go out leased to the fenced backyardyard, and again noise rules rules rules. hot tub can only be reached going through one of the two ground level bedrooms. location: silent neighborhood with a maybe 10 mins drive to south lake Tahoe downtown. good family location also do drive to other places like emerald Bay or just explore the area. a bit away from the crowds which we likes

terrific location, place, & accommodations. the only suggested improvement would be a chat tool instead of having a call center as the only communication option. otherwise really enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend

We had a great time staying at the home. The three bedrooms are spacious and as advertised and the backyard patio with the hot tub and grill were enjoyable for both cooking dinner and relaxing in the afternoons / evenings. The location was convenient for access to all of South Lake Tahoe and the kitchen was complete with all necessary amenities. We would happily stay here again and recommend the home to any other guests visiting South Lake Tahoe.

My husband and I stayed at this adorable property last weekend as we celebrated our wedding at a nearby hotel. The house was beautiful, cozy, clean and quiet. The location was great as it was only about 7 mins from the beaches. We will definitely be returning for future Tahoe getaways.

This home is very clean and very accommodating to our needs. Bed was a little hard for my liking but made it work. Spa was wonderful except for I am vertically challenged and there was no step for me to get in and out. Thank goodness for friends. Kitchen was well equipped and very clean. I highly recommend that you consider this property.

Our anniversary stay was very pleasant. The home is in a quiet neighborhood but not very private when using the backyard. Appreciate being able to take our dog and home does not smell which was wonderful. I reported an issue with the patio blinds that were going to be fixed after our departure. I would recommend staying here. Thank you for a pleasant visit.

We love staying in Tahoe and especially at Golden Bear Pause. It is always very neat and clean when we arrive so we leave it as good as possible when we leave too. The house is the perfect size for us. The backyard is fenced for our greyhound. It feels like coming home to us because we rent the same house every time. Couldn't be better!! Melissa Miller

We loved our location this house is however located on a busy road. The house was perfect for our stay, beds were comfortable, and home with spacious. We had no issues during our stay. Party of 4 all adults. Kitchen offered, utensils, dishes, dish washer etc. Enjoyed our stay. Check in is promptly at 4pm and check out is at 10am.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. It's a cozy house with a sort of cabin vibe. Super convenient to get to the Heavenly California lodge which is a huge win. If you're especially picky about pillows (I am, unfortunately), I suggest bringing your own as the pillows are the same around the house. No points docked for this, it's just a personal comfort preference. Otherwise the house is very comfy. The crew at RnR are very friendly and around when you need help.

This home was perfect for us! It has everything you need and is in a perfect location especially if you want to ski heavenly. The hot tub was a plus! We had an issue with the oven (turned out it was in celcius) and the property manager was great help.Would stay here again for sure!

Our family had a truly fabulous stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, in a great location, and just as described. We used the hot tub every day. We appreciated that the backyard was well fenced for our dogs. The beds are super comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. We would not hesitate to come here again.

This was the second time to stay at Golden Bear Pause because we loved it so much back in July. Always a good time being right by mountain bike trails and a place to take the dogs for a good long walk. Looking foreword to staying again in the spring!

Everything was great!! The house was just the right size and clean! We didn't realize when we booked how close the mountain bike trails were!!
Just down the street! Did see a black bear back there so be careful. The dogs loved chasing squirrels in the bak yard!

The house was exactly as listed and the location was great. It was very clean and a great spot for my family to meet up for vacation. It’s less than 10 minutes from the shops/restaurants/casinos but far enough back to be nice and quiet at night. The couch was big enough for all of us to hang out and watch a movie at night and the kitchen was equipped with everything needed if making a meal at home. Check in was a breeze with keypad entry which was nice we didn’t need to fuss with any keys. Definitely recommend this location!

Great house in a convenient location. The yard is properly enclosed (we often find we go places and can’t let the dog loose as the fence is not fully enclosed but this one was).

Very nice property with my family of 4 adults and dog. The property has a great yard for dogs and we enjoyed the hot tub every day. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cookware. The location is very convenient to groceries, eateries, stateline activities, yet we still felt secluded at the home. We discovered a couple hiking trails in the neighborhood for our morning walks. Loved this home and location.

Super easy check-in and undisturbed stay! Really easy to get in touch with the staff if you need anything! The neighbourhood is peaceful and in a cute spot of South Lake Tahoe.

Booking, check-in and check-out were a breeze. The house has all the comforts of a modern home in a very quiet neighborhood tucked among trees. Minutes away from many of the places we wanted to go. Our family enjoyed the hot tub, ate meals in the open kitchen/dining area, and enjoyed a movie night by the fire. Would definitely stay here again when there is more snow to enjoy. I bet it would be fun to build a snowman and make snow angels in the backyard!
