Great location with hiking trails right outside the door. Short drive to South Lake Tahoe and beaches . The house was specious and meet all our needs as we had a large party of eight . R and R was great at communicating throughout the whole rental process. We would rent again for sure .

Great house and great neighborhood. Location is close to all town activities but far enough away to have peace and quiet. Trails literally out the back door.

A family vacation (8 of us) from 2 areas of the country and enjoyed the layout of the house as one family stayed in the 3 bedrooms downstairs, and the other 2 in the upstairs bedrooms. Location was great. Out of town enough for quiet, and just off the main road for a quick ride to downtown. Trailhead right outside the door that led to a series of about a dozen trials. Great for early morning walks. Nice deck overlooking the trails. Really enjoyed South Lake Tahoe. It was July 4th week and VERY crowded. However, the mood was very upbeat, locals and visitors were friendly, happy & having fun. Town was clean & inviting. Had a pool table we used a lot. They have plenty of toys & games for toddlers. The few games our family & teens could have played were not complete. Pros: Location! / Layout of home / Ease of access / Open kitchen (room for multiple cooks) / Comfy beds (firm) / All rooms have fans / Clean Cons: Could use a few games for older kids

My family enjoyed their stay in Happy Hiker. Plenty of room for our family of 6. We enjoyed having the pool table and the walking trails right outside the door. Nice neighborhood and easy communication with management team.

The location and convinience was perfect, the home and all its space was more than enough for 5 girls. We had so much space to not feel crammed and come together for a game of pool, movie night and dinner.

The property had a great location in South Lake Tahoe with privacy. The property was clean and had great space. Very affordable for what you got. Highly recommend.

Beds were a little hard but otherwise everything was comfortable. Hot tub worked great. We enjoyed the trail out back for the 4.5 miles walk. Everything worked fine.

We came as a group over MLK weekend. Home was as advertised in the VRBO listing. There was a snow storm during the weekend I was there so it was nice that there was a large backyard so the kids can play in the snow. There are a lot of amenities there and and I didn’t need to bring a lot of the things I brought, but oh well. Most of the time, these rentals are bare. Plenty of space for everyone and it was pretty clean.

We had a great winter vacation! The property was in a good location. It was close to restaurants, Safeway, casinos and more importantly ski resorts. The house was clean, well maintained and provided all the amenities of home. The hot tub was a very warm welcome after a day of snowboarding. The pool table was a plus. Customer service kept in touch just in case. Easy check in and out. We will definitely be back!

We had kids and adults for New Year’s Eve and this place was great! Plenty of space, close to downtown, clean, fun, everything you’d hope for!

Quiet family neighborhood. Spacious home with good beds, nice bathrooms, showers, all very clean. Management was very attentive. Enjoyed the gas log fireplace. We used the kitchen a great deal and found everything we needed for making meals. We also enjoyed the hot tub outside. The backyard setting for the hot tub was wooded and serene.

Our annual family holiday outing was made all the more special while staying in this beautiful home. The dining table made a perfect space for family meals, the oversized couch fit all 8 of us beautifully, and we enjoyed the hot tub and pool table immensely. Fell in love with the trailhead starting in the backyard! Can’t wait to visit again!!

Great stay! No complaints.

Great place for the 8 of us! We loved the location, right by a beautiful hiking trail. About a 10 minute drive to town, which wasn’t bad at all. The pool table and hot tub were amazing and we loved the deck to sit on and look out into the woods. Wonderful property!

We had a lot of fun. Everything was organized in the home. Home was very clean. We had a-lot of fun would definitely book again.

This home is perfect for a family vacation. It's so spacious and set up very well. I loved the artwork that adorned every room. The upstairs was a great gathering place with the kitchen, dining area and living room all together. The downstairs area was very popular with the pool table and the hot tub. Bedrooms and bathrooms were well situated.
My 11 year old granddaughter cried when it was time to leave. She wanted to stay longer.

Beautiful hiking trails nearby

Great location. Off the main roads and hiking trails right outside the door. Great layout for a large group and well stocked. Takes 7 minutes to get to the strip so everything is close by. Would definitely recommend this house for a large gathering.

The place was great. Would want to make this the place I stay every time in Tahoe.

This was an amazing property to stay in! It had everything you could ever need and more. We spent Easter here with some extended family and hope to make this venue an annual occurrence! The Happy Hiker lived up to its expectations, highly recommend!

Enjoyed our family’s time away in this spacious home. Location was phenomenal for quick access to snow - backyard opens right up to forest land! Quiet with friendly neighbors. Prompt and professional communication with property management. We would love to come back and have shared our positive experience with friends.

Great place

Overall had a great time. Clean, roomy, comfortable. No real issues with the property. Made a request for a better large skillet (Teflon was peeling off) and two were on the porch when we returned from our outing. Only suggestion would be to put a dvd player with the upstairs tv as well.

Epic Tahoe Ski Trip

Great house, plenty of space for our group. Hot tub was amazing after a long day of skiing.

Superb! The cleanliness and amenities exceeded my expectations. The home is located on a quiet street, corner house, decorated adorably and close to everything. We will most definitely be back!

The home was huge! Possibly too big for our group of five. No problem choosing a bedroom. No waiting to use one of three bathrooms. We loved the pool table! The hot tub was a welcome after a day of snowboarding. Ample cookware and utensils for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Shopped at a nearby Safeway. Lots of restaurants nearby if we chose to eat out. Did carry out from Off the Hook and celebrated our son’s 30th birthday at the Lake House Restaurant. House was in close proximity to Heavenly. We drove to the casinos a couple of nights. House was clean and supplied with essentials. Loved everything about the home especially, the gas fireplace. Furniture and beds were comfortable.

We would definitely like to stay here again!

There was a lot of snow! Everything was white. We did encounter a problem coming home one afternoon. Our SUV got stuck in the snow. Made a call to RnR and the person answering the phone easily guided us through our distress call. I apologize for not remembering her name. She advised us as to how we should maneuver our SUV out of the snow. We did need to shovel the driveway as the snow plow did not come through yet. She texted back with more advice and shortly thereafter a snow plow came to plow. Yay! They saved our day! We so appreciated their quick response.

The property was a great location for kids to freely play in the backyard and they had the whole trail to themselves. Family enjoyed the home but would definitely place personal heaters here and there as some guests mentioned temp got cooler at times.
One of the biggest cons to point out is that 2 out of 3 bathroom locks did not work. And one bathroom had a screw makeshift lock that stopped working. If it was not for that. everything else went pretty smooth. Everyone loved the pool table and hottub. I enjoyed the electric fireplace that brought warmth to our Christmas holiday. Neighbors were really nice and we never received a noise complaint.

We planned a family trip in December. The house had the lights on, heater on and music playing. Super clean and cozy. The house was perfect! The staff was helpful. We did experience a power outage due to the major snow storm, but we made the best of it. Will absolutely go back for another stay!

Great home!

We had a great time in Tahoe at your house. The house was very nice and accommodating, being right on the trail was really cool. Cocktails on the deck with a view after a day at the beach was quite relaxing. The house could use an update and the spa cover is way to heavy to take on and off. Otherwise great times were had and will return. Thank you.

Nice, comfortable, large house near forested area. Convenient to all Southshore activities. Downstairs hot tub, pool table, and large TV for gaming were fun for everyone. Stocked with TP, paper towels, trash bags, and dishwasher/laundry soap. Bedrooms lacking nightstand lamps for reading.

Our house was perfect for our group size. There are a lot of different options and beds to sleep a larger group of people. Ideal location for traveling to the water and stateline. We appreciated the communication, ease of check-in and the amenities.

Provided plenty of space for the 10 of us. A couple of things do need to be updated but overall it had everything we needed.

This house was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for us to spread out or to be together. The beds were comfortable. We liked being a little farther away from the in town bustle, but close enough to get there quickly. We loved it. Check in and out was easy.

This home is a great location for winter sports at Heavenly! It's closer to the California lodge and away from the hotels and town area by the lake. But it is also conveniently located whereby it's only about 15 minutes drive to the town area to get things. Having a hot tub is great for relaxation after a full day on the mountains! Kitchen is good. Even though it has a vent that is built into the center of the cooktop, it's strong enough for regular cooking. Rooms are large and spacious and the entertainment area upstairs and downstairs means everyone can spread out without tripping over each other.

This home was perfect for our annual ski trip. There was plenty of room and lots of things to keep the kids busy. They loved using the sleds in the backyard and were even able to build a snowman. The house was centurally located and close to the mountain. We would recommend this property.

We booked this home for a large family vacation. We were very excited to see that the weather cleared before arriving. Before we arrived, the property manager was very communicative, even sending tips on driving in snowy weather. Made us so comfortable since we flew into Reno and drove to the home. So easy! The home itself was in great shape, super clean, and fully stocked. Our family of 9 all slept very comfortably. we could have even had a couple more people and wouldn’t feel like we were on top of each other, with the separate living spaces. The location was perfect, only 10 mins from heavenly village, less than 10 mins to the nearest grocery store. Would absolutely stay again.

We visited South Lake Tahoe for my husband and his friend’s 40th birthday trip! We loved the house, the open floor plan in the living areas, the pool table and relaxing in the hot tub. Only a short drive to Heavenly village and the casinos. The only downfall was the 10pm quiet time and curfew for the hot tub. Would definitely recommend this house!

Incredible experience with RNR Rental! Communication was great, the home was perfect for our family! There are strict house rules which was not a problem for our family, but the spaciousness, amenities, and location of the home could not have been better! My family is already planning our next trip!

Great stay, clean and easy to check in. Would absolutely return and enjoy South Lake Tahoe again in the summer or winter!

It was my grandson's first experience in the snow. The home was spacious and comfortable. Everybody had a wonderful time.
